april, 2025: Community Clinics
We are pleased to announce that Cloonkett Green Energy will be hosting a series of Community Clinics throughout May, offering local residents the opportunity to meet with our Community Engagement Team to find out more about this renewable energy project.
These clinics will help local residents learn more about the proposed project, ask questions and share feedback to our team in a one-on-one setting.

March, 2025: Project Update
We’re pleased to share that the survey works for the proposed Cloonkett Green Energy project are continuing to progress. The proposed project layout has been confirmed to include 14 wind turbines. This marks an important step forward as we continue to design and develop this renewable energy project in line with best environmental practices and community feedback that has been received to date. Further updates will be shared as the project advances. Thank you for your continued support.

August, 2024: Project Update – Surveys Progressing
Surveys for the proposed Cloonkett Green Energy wind farm are continuing, including; environmental impact assessment and ecological surveys.
We remain committed to community engagement and continue to offer support via email and phone. Additionally, one-on-one meetings are available upon request.

We intend to host a public exhibition in 2024 with full project information once the site surveys have progressed further.

September, 2023: Public Consultation Commences
Cloonkett Green Energy is excited to launch the community engagement phase for a potential new wind energy project which project is located in the townlands of Glenconaun More, Craghera and Cloonkett, Cranny, Kilrush, Co.Clare.
Throughout the community engagement, we aim to foster open dialogue and collaboration, ensuring that all stakeholders will have the opportunity to contribute their views on the proposed project. We encourage everyone to join us in shaping the path towards cleaner energy, funding for the community, the creation of jobs locally, and a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come.
The community engagement program will involve our community team visiting homes in the vicinity of the project, sharing educational materials, and hosting a public information exhibition. All details will be shared in this section of the website.
